Large Queen Cage

The queen bee cage is made from bamboo skewers and plastic, designed for easy handling and closure of the queen bee during hive management, and more. It is lockable for added security.

Place the queen bee and honey paste for her nourishment inside the cage. Insert the entire cage between the frames of the active hive, allowing the bee colony sufficient time to get used to the new queen. After approximately two days, the new queen can be safely released.
