It features a microUSB connector built directly into the battery, allowing you to recharge it through a microUSB port on devices like computers or mobile phone chargers. The battery´s full charge is indicated by a blue LED light located on the battery.

The battery is designed for higher discharge currents (up to 2.5 A). Therefore, it is suitable for devices with greater current demand, such as flashlights, high-power lasers, and similar.

Li-ion technology provides one of the best ratios of stored energy quantity to cell weight. The batteries do not have a memory effect, and self-discharge is minimal.

Battery Protection:

The protection of the battery can be divided into two areas. Firstly, electronic circuits are added to prevent overcharging (a situation where there is a risk of explosion for traditional li-ion batteries) or excessive discharging (the battery might become non-rechargeable). Additionally, these circuits protect the battery against short circuits or high current draw that could potentially damage the battery. If the battery´s electronics detect that the limit values have been reached, it disconnects the cells.

Secondly, there is protection against overheating (PTC thermal protection) and a special anti-explosion valve. Unlike other valves used in li-ion batteries, this valve, when the gas pressure inside the cell exceeds a certain limit, separates the electrodes inside the battery, effectively interrupting the exothermic reaction, and releasing excess gas pressure outside the battery. The combination of electronic and mechanical (thermal and pressure) protection makes Fenix batteries among the safest lithium batteries available.
