Flue gas thermometer BestBurn magnetic
Flue gas temperature meter for fireplace stoves. Temperature range 0°C to 500°C. Instant quality control of the combustion process.
Recommended temperature divided into three zones:
1 zone CREOSOTE - temperature too low, the stove tars
2 zone BEST OPERATION - optimal flue gas temperature,
3 zone TOO HOT - high temperature uneconomical heating.
1 zone:
Temperature below 130°C too low temperature, large amount of soot and smoke, the stove is tarred. At a low temperature, incomplete combustion and tar deposits in flues and chimneys occur. Part of the flue gas that has not yet burned goes into the chimney without us using the energy that could be released by burning, we waste fuel. The stove glass gets extremely dirty. Possible causes are a) unsuitable (wet) fuel, b) too little air in the stove, c) low draft of the chimney. In this case, melt the stove more by increasing the air access or add more dry wood.
2 zone:
Temperature 130 to 250°C Optimal and economical burning. In this part of the scale, the highest efficiency of the stove occurs, burning through the fuel, the so-called double combustion, when the fuel burns in the first stage and the gases burn out in the second (secondary) phase.
3 zone:
A temperature of 250°C or more is too high a overheating temperature, wastes energy, there is a risk of damage to the stove, damage to the chimney and the formation of a fire, the soot in the chimney may ignite. This temperature is reached for a short time when heating in a stove, it is not recommended for normal operation. The maximum permissible temperature for the chimney is 350°C.
