Damascus steel knife care:

Damascus steel is not stainless and, without proper care, may corrode and suffer permanent surface damage.

After each use, wash the knife by hand in warm water (optionally with a mild detergent) and dry it immediately and thoroughly.
Never leave the knife wet, do not use a dishwasher, and avoid prolonged contact with water.

To protect the blade, it should be regularly treated with a thin layer of suitable oil.

We recommend:

- food-grade mineral oil – the most common choice

camellia oil

medical petroleum jelly

These products protect the steel from corrosion and help maintain its appearance and performance.

Do not use common cooking oils (such as sunflower or rapeseed oil), as they can go rancid, become sticky, and damage the blade over time.

Store the knife in a dry place. For long-term storage, apply oil and wrap it in food-safe plastic wrap.

A leather sheath is intended for carrying only and is not suitable for long-term storage, as it retains moisture.

Failure to follow these instructions may result in corrosion and damage that are not considered a manufacturing defect.
